Description INFICON is a leading provider of innovative
instrumentation, critical sensor technologies, and Smart
Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 software solutions that enhance
productivity and quality of tools, processes, and complete
factories. These analysis, measurement and control products are
essential for gas leak detection in air conditioning/refrigeration
and automotive manufacturing. They are vital to equipment
manufacturers and end-users in the complex fabrication of
semiconductors and thin film coatings for optics, flat panel
displays, solar cells and industrial vacuum coating applications.
Other users of our vacuum-based processes include the life
sciences, research, aerospace, packaging, heat treatment, laser
cutting and many other industrial processes. We also leverage our
expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical
analysis products for emergency response, security, and
environmental health and safety. Essential Job Duties Specific
duties include, but are not necessarily limited to: Order
Fulfillment:
- Procure and manage material to meet quality, delivery,
inventory and price targets, using MRP in SAP and Lean Pull
Systems. Effectively manage supply programs to achieve required
lead times and inventory objectives.
- Evaluate MRP data and place purchase orders for production and
resale materials. Review incoming orders and verify/assign ship
dates. Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and
assist in the resolution of any issues
- Enter and maintain material master data on assigned part
numbers in SAP
- Develop and communicate schedules and timelines to support
production builds
- Track, monitor, and communicate material order status, while
working to proactively resolve any issues that may arise
- Assist in development & implementation of improved supply chain
systems and processes
- Execute supply chain strategies to ensure withstand
geopolitical issues and commodity constraints
- Resolve issues regarding shipment/invoice discrepancies
- Review & Action item groups often to maintain stock positions &
determine product life cycle action
- Review supplier performance for delivery & service level &
action improvement plan as needed
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure goods are delivered as
scheduled
- Update delivery in SAP
- Arrange drop shipments, expedite/ de-expedite delivery requests
& other special requests
- Coordinate with Production to prioritize production schedules
based on parts availability
- Maintain procurement records such as item data, costs, lead
time, & product quality
- Action defective goods with Quality Team & supplier
partner
- Review and monitor supply/demand information, and take
appropriate actions to ensure minimal 95% fill rate in support of
production schedules
- Understand value stream capacity plan in S&OP and SAP;
ensure supply base and procurement plans are in place to meet
requirements and ensure that forecasts, demand planning, material
planning, and schedule requirements are aligned and integrated
- Maintain supplier capacity modeling for supply chain
capabilities for short (0 - 3 months), mid (3 - 18 months) and
long-term (5-year plan) horizons; Understand demand inputs and
position supply to support unconstrained growth in both the
short-term and long-term horizons
- Interact daily with functional resources including Engineering,
Quality, Planning and Production in Lean Daily Management to ensure
all production requirements are met Inventory Control:
- Responsible for the physical inventory of all materials if/when
required to meet financial and record keeping obligations
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for safety stock,
lead time, consignment stock, schedule changes and appropriate
approvals; Owns the integrity of procurement / MM data in ERP SAP
systems
- Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and
build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess
inventory
- Balance risks associated with the supply chain and current
plans and the options and contingencies to mitigate them
- Drive KPI to improve Inventory Turns and increase efficiency in
Supply Chain
- Establish measurements and maintain inventory accuracy
- Develop program to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain systems to ensure inventory optimization, and
appropriate replenishment strategies
- Perform risk assessments on product perishability, supply
trends, demand factors and at-risk product mitigation
- Identify and reduce product obsolescence through inventory
reviews and re-balancing efforts
- Maintain a total cost perspective with a lean manufacturing
mindset
- Optimize Inventory control throughout entire supply chain to
maintain and drive accuracy via cycle counts and control methods
- Manage JIT receiving process for all incoming inventory to keep
within budget Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or
Business
- Three years of Purchasing, Supply Chain and Demand planning
experience
- High level of proficiency in SAP
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP including data elements to drive
MRP. Excellent computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft
applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience working with advanced manufacturing techniques:
KANBAN, pull systems, VMI, LEAN. Not required but highly
desirable.
- Knowledge and experience with quality tools such as Lean Six
Sigma, Yellow Belt or Higher, FAI, FMEA, DFM. Not required but
highly desirable
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to develop and execute creative and innovative
