weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Six months to
three years of nursing (RN) experience License: Current Registered
Nurse License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: A
graduate of an accredited school of nursing Description: The
Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and
abilities. The RN is responsible for the prevention of illness and
injury. The RN alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and
treatment of human responses. The RN advocates in the care of
individuals and families. The RN is accountable for compliance with
all standards of practice and professional development. The RN
promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered
care. The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements,
and evaluates nursing care. The RN manages a group of patients,
serving as a primary nurse when designated by unit assignment. The
RN considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency,
cost, and impact. The RN educates patients and families on health
promotion and disease management. The RN utilizes a working
knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications. The
RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource
utilization. The RN complies with all nursing practice standards
and regulatory requirements. The RN actively participates in and
supports the nursing shared governance model. The RN engages in
professional development and continuing nursing education. The RN
integrates research and current evidence into practice. The RN
provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and
students. The RN performs duties related to the Charge Nurse or
Shift Coordinator role when assigned. The RN participates in the
