EHS Director - Plant

Job Description:

This position will lead the strategic direction of the safety, health, environmental compliance, workers compensation and site security activities for (2) New York heavy industrial manufacturing facilities totaling (400) union employees (Utica plant will be main focus with travel to the other facility 1-2 times a quarter). Directly supervise a staff of both direct and indirect reports including EHS Professionals. Report directly into a Senor Director of HSE with a dotted line into the General Manager.

Ability to have both a strategic and tactical approach to safety including human performance management and behavioral safety initiatives.
Well-blended in both safety and environmental.
Ability to motivate and set the direction of the EHS Department, coach department peers regarding safety and the ability to identify needs and problem solve.
Bold personality with the ability to build strong working relationships.
