We take care of you, so you can take care of others.VHS is looking for a qualified Radiation Technologist - Radiology.City: SyracuseState: NYStart Date: 2025-06-23End Date: 2025-09-21Duration: 13 WeeksShift: 8 Hours Overnight shift.Description: Qualifications: A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent NYS license/registration plus one year experience as anradiologic technologist required. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.nDuties: The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing radiographic examinations under the directionnof departmental radiologists. The technologist will greet the patient explain to them the examinationnthey are about to undergo position the patient set the proper exposure factors in order to obtain thenrequired quality radiograph. The technologist will also practice appropriate radiation safety andnprotection to assure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure. Technologist will also havena sufficient knowledge base to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively in order to obtainnquality studies and to report any malfunctions with equipment to immediate supervisor. They will alsonbe responsible for processing films inputting information into the Radiology hi.formation System forndocumentation and billing purposes. This position will also be responsible for the proper use of imagingnequipment and following department procedures and protocol as defined in the Policy and ProcedurenManual. This position is mainly responsible for providing radiologic examinations based on referringnphysician and radiologist needs.Notes: Radiologic Technologist - DiagnosticnnShift: M-F 11:00p to 730a with rotating weekends 7:00p to 7:30a Saturday and Sunday rotating holidays as needed.W2 Pay Rate: $69.02 *Travel candidates only (50 miles or more from facility)Certification Requirements: Please confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application.At VieMed, Live Your Life isn't just a company tagline.
