environmental health and safety. Position Overview The ideal
candidate has graduate level experience in the design of mass
spectrometers and similar elements such as ion guides and
detectors. The candidate has experience with ion optics design
tools and high vacuum test apparatus. The ideal candidate is highly
motivated and has the desire to work both independently and in
focused teams towards the development of new sensor products
necessary to monitor and control gases and vapors of relevance to
the semiconductor processing industry. Job Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD) in a physical science (e.g., Chemistry,
Physics) or engineering required
- Expert understanding of vacuum science
- Knowledge of mass spectrometers and experience with ion optics
simulation is required.
- Propose and demonstrate concepts to improve mass spectrometer
performance.
- Contribute novel sensor ideas and methods.
- Identify customer needs and modify existing product or develop
new measurement tools capable of meeting these needs
- Analyze data
- Good delivery skills for oral presentations to colleagues and
customers.
- Experience documenting experiments
- Ability to (1) to plan/schedule tasks (2) define hardware
components, (3) interface with vendors, (4) perform data reduction
and analysis, (5) document/report test results, and (6) deliver
