Description of Duties:
SUNY Polytechnic Institute's College ofArts and SciencesDepartment
ofMathematics and Physicsinvites applications for a
full-timenon-tenure-trackLecturerofApplied Mathematics.The
successful applicant willteach and provide coordination and
oversight for core introductory math courses.
We are eager to hear from candidates withdemonstrated commitments
both teaching and research, and a commitment to cultivating
diversity inthe university and professional work environment.
The successful candidate will provide coordination and oversight
for College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics, and
serve as the primary contact for the math placement exam, tutoring,
and co-remediation.
Specific duties include teaching three sections per semester of
introductory math courses.
Otherresponsibilities include contributing to the assessment and
continued development ofApplied Mathematicscourses, and
contributing.
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
M.S. in Mathematics, or a closely related field from a college or
university accredited by the US Department of Education or
internationally recognized organization.
