An accredited acute care healthcare system located in upstate New York is currently searching for an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join their award-winning organization.This established healthcare organization opened its doors over one hundred years ago and has since grown into a 250-bed state-of-the-art medical facility. The Respiratory Therapist will work within a not-for-profit healthcare organization that provides services for nearly 50 medical and surgical specialties. The range of medical and surgical services includes emergency and critical care, behavioral health, oncology, radiology, orthopedics, pediatrics, maternity services, and surgical care, among many others.The full-time Respiratory Therapist will join a clinically advanced Respiratory Therapy department that is staffed by a team of Registered Respiratory Therapists. Under the direction of a physician, the full-time Respiratory Therapist will treat respiratory illnesses such as Asthma, COPD, Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema, and Pneumonia along with many others. The Respiratory Therapist will utilize a variety of treatments and therapies including airway management and resuscitation, EEG services, pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory and oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing and monitoring, and mechanical ventilation.The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing quality patient care and assist in determining patient ventilator settings. The full-time Respiratory Therapist will be a graduate of an AMA accredited school of Respiratory Care and will have and active New York license. This position does require an active CRT and/or RRT certifications by the National Board of Respiratory Care.This hospital is located in a region of upstate New York that is not too far from Lake Ontario.
