Job Purpose

The purpose of this job is to maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, which may include hardware, software, servers, storage solutions, networks, or physical facilities.

Essential Job Functions

·         Configures, installs, maintains, and provides support for critical software and hardware components.

·         Leads projects as assigned.

·         Monitors system availability and troubleshoots and resolves connectivity interruptions.

·         Measures and improves performance and scalability.

·         Helps develop disaster recovery or business continuity plans.

Basic Job Skills

·         Ability to diagnose and resolve problems and situations.

·         Ability to apply technical and computer experience to all areas of the business.

·         Industry experience performing essential job functions with technology used by INFICON.

·         Basic project management skills.


 The IT Infrastructure Engineer position is for individuals that possess a solid foundation in IT fundamentals and their implementations. It is intended for those who have experience working and interacting within a corporate environment. Successful employees in this role will demonstrate the following behaviors:

Education and/or Experience - This represents the minimal education and years of experience essential for acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to carrying out the major duties described above.  Please note this may or may not equate to the person’s education/experience.

·         A BS/BA degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

·         Approximately one to three years of industry experience, depending upon the ability of the job candidate to demonstrate the above behaviors.



Leadership Responsibilities and Reporting Relationships

The IT Infrastructure Engineer directly reports to the IT Director. The IT Infrastructure Engineer may be assigned temporary leadership or mentorship responsibilities at the discretion of the IT Manager. Such responsibilities will be limited in scope (i.e. a single project or technical area) and focus on transfer of knowledge and guidance within the IT Infrastructure Engineer’s areas of expertise.

Physical Requirements

Requires lifting and carrying up to 25lbs on an occasional basis (less than 10% of the time).
