Job Description:

The A&D Product Manager focuses on maximizing the customer value of Data and Analytic products by paying close attention to detail, exercising due diligence, and demonstrating dedication to their client base. The A&D Product Manager identifies opportunities to provide quality information enabling informed analytic business decisions. This includes opportunities within the A&D Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehouse (DW), Big Data Environment, Operational Data Store (ODS), Data Marts, and Applications. The Incumbent is the primary A&D liaison to the business for the assigned products. This position gains an understanding of business needs, clearly communicates those needs, facilitates prioritization discussions across business and A&D constituents, and helps drive vision and future strategy for the A&D portfolio of products. The A&D Product Manager provides leadership, direction, and planning in support of the goals and objectives of the Enterprise.Level I* Leads a release content review with the core team members and is responsible for ensuring the requirements are understood and documented through the entire development lifecycle.* Communicates all changes to the product user community. This communication includes appropriate User Group Education sessions, updates to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) wiki, or other communication channels for each release.* Defines, maintains, and coordinates the product communication plan.* Communicates product production issues and any product accessibility limitations to the user community and A&D Leadership.* Establishes status call cadence, attendee list, and agenda.* Tracks, prioritizes, and manages the product requirements and backlog within the appropriate repository.* Defines the release management plan and schedule based on the prioritized backlog.* Understands the sponsor and stakeholders for assigned A&D products; who they are, how they use the products and how the products change over time.* Measures and analyzes existing offerings for opportunities to innovate and improve, including identification of opportunities to standardize, simplify, or reduce redundancy within the product offerings.* Participates in opportunity assessment and prioritization across stakeholder, data, analytic, technical and program perspectives.* Ensures documented business and data requirements are understood by business and technical teams as well as meet business needs and fit into the product functional and technical vision.* Reviews all requests for product changes/enhancements* Works with A&D technical team members (such as Architects, Analysts, Developers, Data Scientists, or IT) who enters requests directly into the release management tracking system (requirements, testing, release planning, etc.) with a recommended priority to ensure completeness and accuracy of the ticket* Stays informed as to the status of product related work efforts, projects and current issues to ensure product updates meet defined requirements* Solicits input from stakeholders and communicates back to A&D team stakeholder feedback, concerns, questions and requests.* Creates user rollout/communication plan and supporting documentation for changes to assigned A&D product.* Works with the A&D release team leads to identify the target release and update the release tracking system with this information.* Coordinate assigned resources to successfully deliver the division's projects and programs according to schedules.* Identifies, mitigates and resolves product level risks and issues.* Documents and tracks product related action items and decisions* Provides oversight as the requirements progress through the development lifecycle.* Manages and supports post-production issues and stakeholder questions for the relevant product(s).* Leads education sessions with A&D resources informing stakeholders of product changes and impacts.* Works with requestor to confirm the requirements and identify business justification/impact of request* Maintains close interactions and 2-way communication with those impacted by changes to assigned A&D product. Communicates to business analyst community regarding what changes are being made when, including deviations from originally stated deliverables and schedule. (Note the Project Manager retains this responsibility with respect to A&D Sponsors and project Sponsors).* Reviews and communicates to A&D Leadership and business stakeholders contingency approaches put forth by A&D Analysts and/or Project Team to address schedule revisions, data/system availability, resource adjustments, funding allocations, and work requirements.* Owns assets servicing a division or a few divisions.* Adheres to corporate, divisional and departmental policies, standards and procedures.* Helps to foster an environment of continuous improvement, constantly exploring ways to increase efficiencies and productivity, reducing waste, and reducing costs.* Develops and maintains current, personal knowledge and skills on industry, other Blues and professional trends and activities in Information Management, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.* Keeps applicable documents and tracking systems updated with relevant information related to the product requirements and delivery status.* Develops deep understanding & know-how of the business domain they work within.* Strong communication skills: oral presentations, writing, negotiation, active listening, influence positive team dynamics.* Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.* Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.* Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.* Performs other functions as assigned by management.Level II (In addition to all Level I Responsibilities)* Oversees naming conventions for releases, standard requirement structure, requirement process documentation & communication, and requirement progression through the appropriate tool.* Tracks, prioritizes, and manages the product requirements and backlog within the appropriate repository.* Presents requirements to A&D Management team for review.* Educates the customers in, and fosters an awareness of, the capabilities of the product portfolio to stakeholders across the enterprise.* Works with Product Sponsors and Stakeholders to identify opportunities to expand or improve analytic information available.* Partners with EIT Product Managers to ensure optimal Enterprise use of available data assets.* Supports Line of business, functional unit and Enterprise IT (EIT) stakeholders in the definition of requirements and provides input to and review of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Approach Documents (FADs) for product enhancements and improvements.* Participates in Analytic Solution Design reviews and ensures design meets business needs.* Advocates for the business product owner and A&D interests.* Shares learning and coaching experience through knowledge transfer between peers and outside contractors.* Identifies and leads process and methodology changes.* Manage assigned resources to successfully deliver the division's projects and programs according to schedules.* Owns assets servicing the entire enterprise* Delivers functional and technical product overviews to all levels of the organization as needed.* Actively participates in A&D estimating and prioritization sessions.Note of ClassificationWe include multiple levels of classification differentiated by demonstrated knowledge, skills, and the ability to manage increasingly independent and/or complex assignments, broader responsibility, additional decision making, and in some cases, becoming a resource to others. In addition to using this differentiated approach to place new hires, it also provides guideposts for employee development and promotional opportunities.Level I:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Analytics or relevant field (or four additional years related work experience in lieu of bachelors)* Five years related work experience.* Three years of strong technology implementation experience with at least one year in multiple full lifecycle BI, DW, ODS, and Big Data implementations required.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills - highly effective communicator with a strong customer satisfaction orientation.* Demonstrated ability to communicate with people of varying levels of technical and business knowledge.* Ability to interact in a positive fashion with internal and external audiences.* Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.* Demonstrated knowledge of Healthcare Payer industry.* Demonstrated experience with Data Ecosystems, such as Data Warehouses or Advanced Analytics.* Demonstrated skills in implementing application and process solutions utilizing a structured SDLC.* Extensive knowledge of analytics concepts and technology.* In-depth knowledge of application delivery and reporting procedures.* Demonstrated experience in integrating enterprise applications.* Demonstrated experience managing multiple initiatives from multiple sponsors* Demonstrated flexibility responding to changing sponsor priorities* Demonstrated ability to identify, coordinate and resolve conflicting views and priorities from multiple sponsors and stakeholders.* Experience working in an Oracle environment strongly preferred.* Experience with data architecture methodologies a plus.* Experience with Extract Transform and Load tools, such Informatica, a plus.* Experience working with Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) platform, such as Exadata, a plus.* Experience working with Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence (Cognos or Power BI) a plus.* Experience working with Data Science (SAS or R) a plus.* Experience with Big Data Environments (Hadoop) a plus* Experience with multiple project delivery methodologies a plus.* Experience with process improvement methodologies a plus.* Capable of successfully delivering on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.* Strong team player with a high level of interpersonal skills.* Acts professionally at all times and encourages professional standards among team members.Level II (In addition to all Level I Qualifications)* Eight years related work experience.* Demonstrated skills in quality principles especially root cause analysis and problem solving.* Demonstrated business process development skills and strong technical problem-solving skills.* In-depth knowledge of application delivery, management structures, and reporting procedures.* Demonstrated analytical experience such as data profiling, data analysis, data usage analysis, and/or business data analysis.* Demonstrated experience with ad-hoc analysis tools such as Excel, TOAD, SAS, Cognos, Access, and/or other type of analytic tool.* Demonstrated ability to describe the technical concepts of the product to all levels of the organization.* Lean Six Sigma Green belt or higher desirable* Ability to drive changes and implement product, process, and/or new methodologies, through end user transition.* Ability to travel across regions.The Lifetime Healthcare Companies aims to attract the best talent from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and experiential backgrounds, to diversify our workforce and best reflect the communities we serve.Our mission is to foster an environment where diversity and inclusion are explicitly recognized as fundamental parts of our organizational culture.
