TransForce, a leader in CDL staffing and compliance, is currently seeking a highly organized and dedicated CDL A Yard Jockey to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in the efficient management of transportation operations, ensuring safe and accurate movement of freight trucks within the yard. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety protocols, exceptional maneuvering skills, and a reliable track record in similar roles. Operate yard trucks to organize trailers at the dock doors for loading and unloading freight. Manage the positioning of trailers in the yard efficiently to optimize space and expedite freight handling. Perform routine checks and maintenance on yard trucks to ensure operational safety and report any issues to management immediately. Coordinate with warehouse staff and other drivers to facilitate efficient dock operations and loading schedules. Keep accurate records of trailer movements and report discrepancies in trailer placements within the yard. Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. Proficient in operating yard tractors and related transportation equipment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Knowledge of safety practices and compliance with transportation regulations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL A license. Must have a clean driving record. Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) preferred.
