The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal services related to trust and estate matters, including estate planning, trust administration, and litigation. This position aims to assist clients in navigating complex legal issues while ensuring their interests are protected and their wishes are fulfilled. Key Responsibilities - Assist clients with estate planning by drafting wills, trusts, and other legal documents. - Provide guidance on trust administration, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. - Represent clients in trust and estate litigation cases, advocating for their rights and interests in court. - Develop succession plans that align with clients' goals and family dynamics. - Advise clients on guardianship matters and retirement planning strategies. - Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs related to trust and estates law. - Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions. Qualifications - Juris Doctor (JD) - Admission to practice in the sate of NY - 1 years of experience in trust and estate law, preferably in a law firm setting. - Strong knowledge of trust administration, estate planning, and litigation processes. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues. - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. - Proficiency in legal research and writing.
