Job Description BAE Systems in Rome, NY is seeking a motivated
Systems Administrator to join a cross-functional
team.Responsibilities include:
- Install and support a secure environment made up of Windows and
Linux systems, Cisco networking and security technologies and
various web/data application services
- Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server
health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows
systems
- Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This
includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system
configurations, backups, files systems, and user access
- Perform maintenance, hardware upgrades and replacement,
firmware updates and system configuration changes
- Apply compliance controls to secure systems
- Interface with stakeholders and provide technical
guidanceRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5 years of experience in requirements analysis, systems
engineering, operations and maintenance, network systems
administration and/or configuration management
- Experience writing scripts (Linux, Shell, PowerShell),
patching, updating systems and responding to requirements
- Network and application security (e.g., encryption, SSL,
auditing, etc.) experience
- DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II
certification required (such as CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC,
Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and
effectively communicate details with all levels of management
- Active Secret clearance
- Familiarity with cross-domain technologies and
requirements
- Basic knowledge of Agile developmentPay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $68700 - $116800Please note: This range is based on
our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are
determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
