Job Description:
This position is a member of the Technical Operations group which provides level 2 and 3 support for technical issues at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Provides a broad range of services to support, maintain, and develop the desktop computing environment and associated infrastructure for college owned computer equipment with a focus on academic labs and specialized systems within academic departments. This position is responsible for the maintenance and licensing of various software packages utilized across campus. Works closely with faculty, staff and others within the ITS department. This position will also assist in implementation of new IT solutions and services across the organization. Other reasonable duties as assigned. The primary location for this position is in Utica with possible travel to other operating locations



Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience performing similar duties.
Advanced knowledge of the college supported Windows and Macintosh operating systems (Mac OS 10.15.7 through 12.1 and Windows 7 through Windows 10). Familiarity with Windows Server 2008 through 2019.
Advanced knowledge of the college supported standard application software (Office 2016-19, Office 365, Adobe CC).
Experience with desktop management and deployment tools (e.g. Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Windows Deployment Services, JAMF Pro, Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
Desire and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills
Positive customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong Written and verbal communication skills
Certifications are a plus
