Summary:
The Registered Professional Nurse Ambulatory Care is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN assesses, plans, delivers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates nursing care related to patient needs. The RN contributes to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork.

Education:
Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma Professional Nursing program is required

Experience/Qualifications:
New graduate or less than 1 year experience as an RN

Licensure/Certificates:
Current NYS licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse or Valid Interim Permit required
BLS Certification required within 6 months from date of hire

Skills:
Ability to assess patient status and take appropriate action is required
Demonstrates competency in required nursing skills relevant to area of practice
Ability to multi-task effectively in a rapidly changing environment

Physical Requirements:
Walking, standing, squatting and kneeling required throughout shift
Ability to lift and position patients required
Category I risk exposure as defined by OSHA
Must be able identify and differentiate colors"
