qualifications will not be considered. An experienced Registered
Nurse with a focus on stepdown care is needed for a travel
opportunity in New Hartford, NY. This role is based in a 64-bed
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) featuring 15 dedicated neuro beds.
The position supports patients with a range of complex conditions
including neurological, cardiac, trauma, respiratory (COPD, Bipap),
diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), sepsis, myocardial infarction (MI),
and post-operative care. Nurses will work with specialty equipment
such as temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines, and
Neptune suction systems, within an EPIC electronic medical record
environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing
care for adult patients requiring stepdown-level monitoring and
interventions. - Manage patients on chronic ventilators,
collaborating with respiratory therapy for care and weaning
assistance. - Operate and monitor advanced specialty equipment
critical for neuro and cardiac patient management. - Coordinate
with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care plans
and respond to acute patient needs. - Participate in unit floating
as required, adapting to various clinical demands. - Maintain
documentation and comply with all regulatory and facility standards
for safe patient care. Qualifications and Experience: - Active RN
license in New York with verification via NURSYS. - Minimum 2 years
of recent experience in IMCU/PCU settings. - Prior travel nursing
experience is mandatory. - Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS,
and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). - Valid drivers license with address
matching nurses demographics. - Proficiency with EPIC EMR system. -
Must submit a ready-to-offer (RTO) response with an up-to-date
resume. Schedule and Work Environment: - Shift hours from 6:30 AM
to 7:00 PM, with block scheduling availability not guaranteed. -
Navy blue scrubs required. - Unit serves primarily adult patients
