registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A travel nursing opportunity
is available for experienced RNs specializing in stepdown care
within Intermediate Care and Progressive Care Units. This role
focuses on providing high-quality nursing in a medically advanced
environment, ideal for candidates with critical care skills and EMR
proficiency. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Active RN
license in New York State with all relevant RN licenses verified
through NURSYS - Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in IMCU/PCU
settings - Proven travel nursing experience required - Current AHA
certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Expertise in using EPIC
electronic medical records system - Valid drivers license with
current demographics matching address - Skills aligned with neuro,
cardiac, respiratory, and trauma care, including familiarity with
equipment such as temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial
lines, Bipap, Neptune, and chronic ventilator support - Ability to
float across units as needed Location Overview:Situated in the
Rome, NY area, this assignment is suited for both local nurses and
those willing to travel. Rome offers a blend of small-city charm
and access to regional amenities. The facility supports a
patient-centered approach emphasizing neurological, cardiac,
trauma, and respiratory care across a 64-bed unit with 15 beds
dedicated to neuro patients. Schedule/Hours: - Shift: 6:30 AM to
7:00 PM (block scheduling not guaranteed) Responsibilities: -
Deliver nursing care to adults aged 18 and above with complex
conditions such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, myocardial infarction, and
post-operative management - Manage specialty monitoring equipment
and collaborate with respiratory therapy for chronic ventilator
patients - Adhere to unit protocols while effectively floating
