Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation,
education, and patient care, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse
II for our specialized E5 Pulmonary/Renal Unit. This role is
pivotal in providing top-tier nursing care to patients with complex
pulmonary and renal conditions. As an integral member of our team,
you will work in a dynamic environment that merges cutting-edge
medical research with advanced clinical practice, making every day
a new opportunity to impact lives positively. Provide direct and
comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Pulmonary/Renal Unit.
Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement
nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer
nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or
provide case management. Supervise assigned team members and
collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient
outcomes. Participate in research and implement evidence-based
practice designed to improve patient care. Proficiency in managing
pulmonary and renal care. Strong ability to operate medical
equipment and perform complex procedures. Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and
decision-making skills. High emotional intelligence and resilience
in high-stress situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance Active Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of practice. Certification in Basic Life
Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Specialty certification as a Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or
Certified Pulmonary Nurse (CPN) is highly advantageous.
