Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Elmira, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,344 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotation (primarily nights) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: CPR, NRP, ACLS Must-Have: Competency with fetal monitor strips Description: Experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Labor and Delivery or Maternity. Labor and Delivery will be the primary role. Must be willing to float to Maternity when needed. Patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2. There is no requirement to be in charge or to precept. Must be willing to float to medical/surgical to sit for safety sitter patients if not needed on Labor and Delivery. Must have current certifications in CPR, NRP, and ACLS. Must be competent with fetal monitor strips. This position involves a rotation schedule with a focus on night shifts. Majority of shifts will be on nights. There may be times when day shifts are needed, but both shifts will not be scheduled in the same week without prior discussion. The unit cares for delivered patients, post-operative gynecological patients, and stable antepartum patients. Labor and Delivery is a high-risk unit with multiple delivery beds and operating rooms.
