Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM • Assigned to Medical Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit with 64 beds • Floating to other units required • Block scheduling availability but never promised or guaranteed • Navy blue scrubs required • Care for adult patients with common diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis patients, COPD, CHF, isolation cases, general medical surgical conditions, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues • Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes • 2 years of medical surgical experience with stroke stepdown experience required • Travel experience required • Required certifications: Current AHA BLS, NIHSS (can be obtained prior to start) • Active New York nursing license required • EPIC EMR experience required • Skills checklist matching specialty required Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing specialized stroke care and medical surgical services.
