Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system integrating a
top-tier hospital with a cutting-edge medical college, is seeking a
dedicated Clinical Nurse III for our South Clinical Campus
Operating Room. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional care
by applying advanced nursing skills in a dynamic and collaborative
surgical environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing
complex patient situations and capable of utilizing evidence-based
practices to enhance patient outcomes. Provide direct and
individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of
scientific nursing principles. Assess, plan, implement, and
evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare
professionals. Administer medications, monitor patient vital signs,
and quickly address any surgical emergencies. Educate patients and
their families on post-surgical care and disease prevention.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical
team members to ensure cohesive patient care. Maintain meticulous
records of patients’ medical histories and monitor changes in their
condition. Adhere to all hospital health and safety standards to
ensure a sterile and safe surgical environment. Advanced clinical
skills in a surgical environment Strong organizational and
communication skills Ability to work effectively in high pressure
situations Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control
protocols Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of
practice Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR)
