scrubs required Description: The nurses in our Progressive Critical
Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and
surgically complex patients. Conditions encountered include
respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system
organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and
surgical complications. Candidates must be competent in the care of
medical and surgical populations, including advanced hemodynamics
and pressor usage per titration protocols. Experience with
antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips,
thrombo-embolytics, and central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring is
required. Familiarity with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC),
BiPAP/CPAP, and infection prevention protocols is essential. Nurses
with large-scale adult progressive care unit experience and
community hospital intensive care unit experience tend to succeed
in this role. The average patient load consists of three high
acuity patients. A competency test will be required within 24 hours
