Job Description Job Description Job Title: RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 Position Type: Contract (Travel & Local Accepted) Contract Details Duration: 3-month contract (with possibility of extension) Shift: Day and Night shifts available Pay Rate (Travel): $70.45/hour Local Candidates: Accepted Position Summary The Registered Nurse (Medical- Surgical/Telemetry) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients in an acute care setting. This role involves comprehensive patient assessment, clinical monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients Prepare, administer, and accurately document prescribed medications Perform nursing procedures including dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV initiation Operate, adjust, and monitor specialized medical equipment; interpret and record clinical data Monitor vital signs and promptly identify and report adverse reactions or changes in patient condition Collaborate with the care team on discharge planning and continuity of care Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, charts, and medical records Adhere to evidence-based nursing practices, hospital policies, and regulatory standards Required Qualifications Active New York State RN License BLS Certification (AHA required) For more details reach at Aditi.sharma@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
