detail-oriented and dependable Surgical Technician to join our
team. The Surgical Technician will play a vital role in supporting
our surgical operations by ensuring the highest standards of care,
organization, and efficiency. This position primarily supports
plastic surgery procedures and requires a team-oriented individual
who is motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively in a
fast-paced surgical environment. Job Responsibilities: Prepare the
operating room and surgical instruments for each procedure,
ensuring all necessary equipment and sterile supplies are available
and functioning properly. Scrub into surgical cases, primarily
plastic surgery procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgeon
and ensuring adherence to sterile technique at all times. Clean,
assemble, and sterilize instruments and equipment using approved
methods and in compliance with infection control and safety
protocols. Maintain accurate records of sterilization and equipment
maintenance to meet all compliance and regulatory standards.
Monitor supply levels, restock surgical suites, and communicate
supply or equipment needs to management to ensure uninterrupted
surgical operations. Assist with the safe transport and positioning
of patients for surgical procedures, adhering to patient safety and
comfort protocols. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other
team members to ensure smooth procedural flow and optimal patient
outcomes. Support administrative and clinical tasks as needed, such
as maintaining procedure logs, inventory documentation, or
assisting in preparation for upcoming cases. Demonstrate commitment
to patient safety, quality standards, and a positive, team-based
work culture. Requirements: Skills and Qualifications: Certified
Surgical Technician (CST) preferred, or Current NYS Licensed
Practical Nurse (LPN), or Completion of an appropriate training
program for surgical technology in the United States Army, Navy,
Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Public Health Service
Commissioned Corps. Strong understanding of sterile techniques,
surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively within a
team environment. Self-motivated and able to anticipate the needs
of the surgical team to ensure efficient case progression.
Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor when
interacting with staff and patients. Demonstrates sound judgment,
attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality in all
tasks.
