Doctor of Medicine | Hospitalist Location: Syracuse, NY Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Overview The Nocturnist Hospitalist will provide comprehensive overnight inpatient care in a well-supported hospital setting with strong specialty backup. This role is ideal for physicians who thrive in acute care environments and prefer a structured night schedule with built-in work-life balance. Schedule Details Full-time permanent position 7-on / 7-off rotation 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Weekends included as part of rotation No additional on-call requirements beyond scheduled shifts EPIC EMR Compensation: Inquire for details Key Responsibilities Provide overnight inpatient care and admissions Perform comprehensive history & physical examinations Manage hospitalized patients throughout the night Conduct closed ICU rounding on Hospitalist patients Monitor and respond to acute changes in patient condition Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with system standards Practice Environment Established and collegial Hospitalist team Strong subspecialty support Physician-led governance structure Mission-driven, nonprofit healthcare system Integrated network serving Central New York Located in Syracuse, offering affordable living, strong school systems, outdoor recreation, and proximity to NYC, Toronto, and the Finger Lakes region Requirements Required Qualifications Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine New York Medical License (or willingness to obtain) Clean malpractice and license history Active DEA Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days) Prior Hospitalist experience required Benefits ??
