Job Description Job Description Job Title Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) Profession Registered Nurse Specialty Emergency Room (ER) Assignment Details Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Mid Shift | 3 × 12-hour shifts Shift Hours: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM Location Rochester, New York Position Overview The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department with mixed adult and pediatric acuity. The RN will assess, monitor, and manage patients with acute and complex conditions while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. Staffing & Scheduling Patient Ratios: 1:5 (mixed/shared acuity) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Float Requirement: Yes – based on census needs Experience Requirements Minimum Experience: 1 year of Emergency Department experience First-Time Travelers: Accepted Local Candidates: Not accepted (must reside more than 75 miles away) Pending License: Not accepted Required Certifications BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS Required Clinical Skills & Competencies Emergency Department Skills Combined Adult & Pediatric Emergency Care Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Emergency medication administration Blood product administration Central line care and management Phlebotomy and IV initiation Continuous IV sedation and paralytics IV vasopressor management Procedural sedation administration Stroke (CVA) care Isolation precautions Technology & Documentation EMR/Charting System: EPIC (Preferred) Scheduling & Policy Notes Minimal RTO preferred Block scheduling may be considered but is not guaranteed Flexibility required to meet department staffing needs Scrubs Any combination of navy and white For more details reach at sthakur@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807 .
