Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our Ortho/Spine M2 unit who will be instrumental in providing exceptional care to patients with musculoskeletal issues including orthopedic and spinal conditions. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will play a critical role in patient recovery and outcome, handling complex nursing situations and guiding junior nurses. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and spinal patients. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate optimal patient care. Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage, observe, and record patient progress. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, post-operative care and lifestyle adjustments. Supervise and mentor junior staff and participate in continuing education and professional development. Strong clinical skills with a focus on orthopedic and spinal care Ability to manage complex patient situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using healthcare technology and electronic health records Leadership and mentoring capabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment Orthopedic Nurse Certified (ONC) preferred
