Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our Children's Hospital Float Pool. This pivotal role supports various units by providing adaptable, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients. The position requires the ability to swiftly acclimate to different nursing environments and effectively deliver patient care during the designated night shift. Ideal candidates will thrive in dynamic settings and demonstrate a profound commitment to pediatric health. Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in various units as needed. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor responses. Advocate for the needs of patients and their families, ensuring a compassionate and therapeutic environment. Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to unit operations and quality standards. Support patient and family education with tailored, age-appropriate information. Strong pediatric nursing skills Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient care settings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records Medical Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice BLS/CPR certification PALS certification preferred
