Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Watertown, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,380 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: FLOAT RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: PCU experience highly preferred; must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment; first-time travelers will not be considered. License: Must hold current NY license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: - Meditech experience required. - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Description: Position requires working as a FLOAT RN in various units. Common patient diagnoses include septic, COPD, CHF, post-operative care, and general med surg. Experience with required drips and medications such as Heparin drips, magnesium, and potassium riders is essential. The role requires possessing a thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Ability to provide quality patient care and assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, and mental aspects, is crucial. Must recognize safety issues for self and others. Ability to assess and implement the use of lifts to move patients safely is necessary. Candidate must be able to function well in stressful situations and possess effective problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks, are required. May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory. Ratio of patient care is 1:5-6. Weekend, holiday, and on-call duties are required.
