Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Johnson City, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,350 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 11 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Johnson City, New York, 13790! Job Title: Staff Nurse Emergency Department Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years current experience in an Emergency Department, including previous traveler experience with knowledge in trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and pediatrics care. License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN is responsible for the prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a key aspect of this role. The RN ensures compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. These standards include the Nurse Practice Act, nursing policies, and the Scope and Standards of Practice. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN serves as a primary or accountable nurse when designated by unit assignment. Patient and family education in health promotion and disease management is essential. The RN utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications. Resource utilization and effective time management are critical responsibilities. Compliance with nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements is mandatory. Participation in professional development and completing mandatory education requirements is expected. Integrating nursing research and current evidence into practice is encouraged. The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role may be assigned. Additional responsibilities may also be assumed as needed. Required skills include collaboration, communication (verbal and written), critical thinking, and problem-solving. Organizational understanding and reliability are essential. Preferred skills include previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting. Preferred education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
