Job Title: Staff Nurse Emergency Department Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years current experience in an Emergency Department, including previous traveler experience with knowledge in trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and pediatrics care. License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN is responsible for the prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a key aspect of this role. The RN ensures compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. These standards include the Nurse Practice Act, nursing policies, and the Scope and Standards of Practice. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN serves as a primary or accountable nurse when designated by unit assignment.
