Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 8-hour day shifts for 13 weeks • 2 years of nursing experience required • Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing • Current New York State RN license required • Those without recent Operating Room experience must participate and pass the six month Association of Operating Room Nursing Peri-operative 101 Education Program • Successful completion and passing grade on final exam is mandatory • BLS certification required, ACLS preferred • Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred • Preceptorship, charge and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs • Must recognize safety issues and assess/implement use of lifts to move patients safely • Must function well in stressful situations with good creative problem-solving skills • Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate • May be required to assume duties as charge nurse • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills required • Knowledge of clinical equipment instrumentation for safe/aseptic OR/ASU environment • Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required • On-call required with 30-minute response time • Subject to 100 mile radius rule Facility: This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services including advanced surgical and perioperative care.
