Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Travel Position: Dietitian Location: Syracuse, NY Assignment Length: 13 weeks Schedule: /t - /t Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM /t /t - /t Weekend coverage required /t Preferred Qualifications: /t - /t 2 years of inpatient and/or critical care experience /t /t - /t CNSC certification preferred /t Job Summary: The Inpatient Dietitian provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and nutrition assessments for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, with documentation completed in the medical record. Key Responsibilities: /t - /t Assess nutritional status using screening tools, including the Malnutrition Screening Tool /t /t - /t Diagnose malnutrition and develop nutrition interventions /t /t - /t Monitor patient outcomes to improve nutrition status, reduce medical costs, and decrease length of stay /t /t - /t Implement and modify diet and nutrition-related orders using physician- or facility-driven protocols, including: /t /t/t - /t/t Diet and texture modifications /t/t /t/t - /t/t Oral nutrition supplements and dietary supplements /t/t /t/t - /t/t Nutrition-related labs, medications, and education/counseling /t/t /t /t /t - /t Manage nutrition support therapies, including enteral and parenteral nutrition, such as: /t /t/t - /t/t Formula selection and rate adjustments /t/t /t/t - /t/t Addition of medications, vitamins, and minerals /t/t /t/t - /t/t Supplemental water for enteral nutrition /t/t /t /t /t - /t Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives /t /t - /t Attend departmental meetings, staff development activities, patient care rounds, and professional programs /t HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31396778.
