Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Medical Surgical Charge Nurse/n/n Location/n New York /n/nAssignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed, and floating is required. /n/nJob Description/n The Medical Surgical Charge Nurse will provide care to adult patients with a range of diagnoses, including post-surgical care, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity. The role requires proficiency with specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Manage patient care on a medical surgical unit, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety. /n - Supervise nursing staff and coordinate their activities to enhance patient care delivery. /n - Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. /n - Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment and adherence to hospital protocols. /n - Provide education and support to patients and their families. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting. /n - Current and valid RN license in New York, with all other active RN licenses verified through NURSYS. /n - Current AHA BLS certification. /n - Recent travel experience in nursing roles is required. /n - Two recent references from MS Charge or Manager roles. /n - Completion of a skills checklist that matches the specialty. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
