Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – New York Start Date: February 2, 2026 Location: Utica, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 2:30 PM – 3:00 AM. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs. Highlights: - 64-bed Emergency Department treating a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics - High-acuity case mix including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure - Charge RN capability highly preferred for leadership opportunities - Experience with specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun - Epic EMR system in use across the facility - Unit features 40 acute beds, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych, and 2 triage areas Requirements: - Active RN license in New York State (verified via NURSYS) - Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with pediatric exposure - Previous travel nursing experience required - Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be current at time of submission) - Two recent ED Charge Nurse or Manager references - Epic EMR experience required - Valid driver's license with current address - Completed skills checklist matching specialty area Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department with a comprehensive range of patient care scenarios.
