Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Intermediate Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – IMCU Registered Nurse – New York Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Central New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM; 8-week assignment Highlights: - 64-bed Intermediate Care Unit with diverse patient population including neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory, and post-operative patients - Common diagnoses include COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, cardiovascular stepdown, and neurological conditions - Work with specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and chronic ventilators with respiratory therapy support - EPIC EMR system in use - Floating to other units as needed; navy blue scrubs required - Adult patient population (18 years and older) Requirements: - Active New York RN license required - Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU/PCU experience - Previous travel nursing experience required - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications - Two recent IMCU Charge or Manager RN references - EPIC EMR experience required - Completed skills checklist matching specialty Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a large, high-acuity intermediate care environment where you'll care for a diverse patient population and utilize advanced clinical skills daily.
