Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Float - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – New York Start Date: February 2, 2026 Location: Utica, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour day shift, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM Highlights: - Float pool position supporting a 42-bed critical care unit with diverse patient populations - Exposure to neurology/medical, cardiothoracic ICU, and surgical/trauma specialties - Work with advanced specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management - Epic EMR system in use across the facility - Flexible floating to multiple units within the hospital, excluding psych and emergency department - Common diagnoses include strokes, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiogenic shock, and post-operative trauma Requirements: - Active New York RN license required at time of application - Minimum 2 years of ICU experience - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications - NURSYS report with license verification must be submitted with application - Ability to flex across multiple critical care environments and adjust to varying patient ratios Why It's a Great Opportunity: This float pool role offers exceptional exposure to a wide range of critical care specialties, from cardiovascular surgery and trauma to neuro intervention and complex medical cases.
