The Emergency Department is designed to deliver high-acuity care with advanced resources and comprehensive support staff. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. This 13-week assignment provides the opportunity to work in a high-volume, high-acuity ED with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, trauma, and cardiac cases. Key Details - Location: Wynn Hospital, New York - Unit: Emergency Department (68 beds, including super track, psych, trauma, and pediatrics) - Start Date: January 19, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 pm – 7:00 am) - Schedule: Every other weekend required; no block scheduling guaranteed - Parking: Available at no charge - Charting System: Epic (required) Responsibilities - Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care in a high-acuity environment. - Provide triage, assessment, and treatment for diverse patient populations. - Administer and monitor drips including TNK, Cleviprex, and Level 1 infusion for MTP. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary support staff including PCTs, triage RNs, charge RNs, secretaries, RT, lab, and critical response RNs. - Adapt to patient ratios (strive for 1:4/1:5, subject to change based on census and acuity). Requirements - Experience: Minimum 3 years in specialty; prior travel experience required. - Licensure: Active NY RN license. - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN (in hand), NIHSS, PALS. - Preferred: Pediatric experience. - Other: Every other weekend required; locals accepted at local BR (ask AM for rate).
