Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Location New York Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Floating is required, and block scheduling is not guaranteed. Job Description The Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including post-surgical cases, abdominal pain, and morbid obesity. The role involves specialized equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients. Monitor patient health status and implement care plans accordingly. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advocate for patients. Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing. Travel experience is required. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Active New York RN license, along with all active RN licenses. Skills checklist matching specialty is required. Recent references from Medical/Surgical Charge/Manager RNs are mandatory.
