HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Utica, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Intermediate Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU / PCU) Location: Utica, NY 13502 Duration: 13-week contract Shift: Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Block scheduling not guaranteed) Key Responsibilities: - Provide intermediate-level nursing care to adult patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions - Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV step-down, and post-operative recovery - Operate and manage specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and chronic ventilators (RT support available) - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective patient care - Accurately document care and patient status using Epic EMR - Float within scope to meet unit and facility needs Required Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU/PCU nursing experience - Prior travel nursing experience required - Experience caring for adult patients in a high-acuity step-down or intermediate care setting - Ability to float as needed Current Certifications: - Active AHA BLS - ACLS - NIHSS Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with neuro and cardiac step-down patient populations - Familiarity with Epic EMR - Experience managing chronic ventilator patients Distance Requirement: - Local radius: 75 miles - Local candidates accepted at local rates HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31668790.
