Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Intermediate Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 7 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU / PCU) Location: Utica, NY 13502 Duration: 8-week contract Shift: Nights | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Block scheduling not guaranteed) Key Responsibilities: - Provide intermediate-level nursing care to adult patients in a high-acuity IMCU/PCU setting - Care for patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions including COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV step-down, and post-operative cases - Monitor and manage patients using specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and chronic ventilators (with RT support) - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient care - Float within scope to meet unit and facility needs - Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR Required Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU/PCU nursing experience - Prior travel nursing experience required - Experience caring for adult patients in intermediate or progressive care settings Current Certifications: - Active AHA BLS - ACLS - NIHSS Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with neuro and cardiac step-down populations - Familiarity with Epic EMR - Experience managing chronic ventilator patients Distance Requirement: - Local radius: 75 miles - Local candidates accepted at local rates HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31668791.
