ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Utica, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, flexible - Employment Type: Travel Emergency Department RN - Evening Shift Location New York Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Mid shift - 10:30am to 11:00pm (Block scheduling is not guaranteed) Job Description We are seeking a highly qualified Emergency Department RN with experience in pediatrics. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit comprises 64 beds, including 2 triage beds, 40 acute beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 clinical decision unit (CDU) beds, and 6 psychiatric beds. Responsibilities - Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department. - Triage patients and prioritize treatment based on medical needs. - Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient management. - Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. - Float to other units as required. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing. - Pediatric nursing experience is highly preferred. - Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC is required to be in hand). - Drivers license with a matching address. - Active NY RN license and verification through NURSYS Report. - Recent references from an Emergency Department Charge Nurse or Manager. - Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
