Must-Have: - Experience in a mixed acuity unit - Skills in
telemetry and management of dysrhythmias - Ability to administer IV
insulin protocols and manage cardiac drips Description: This
position is for a registered nurse in a mixed acuity unit. The unit
involves acute care for PCU, medical-surgical telemetry, and
stepdown patients. The nurse must have experience in PCU/IMC within
the last three years. Patient ratios are adjusted based on acuity.
The required skills include telemetry, managing dysrhythmias,
post-myocardial infarction care, and intravenous medication
administration. The nurse will care for a variety of patient
diagnoses, including surgical pre- and post-op, trauma, and
orthopedic surgeries. The role involves using specific equipment
and protocols such as feeding tube care, managing central lines,
and handling blood products. The nurse will also engage in
continuous education and may float to associated units as needed.
Weekends and holiday shifts are required, with the expectation of
equal distribution among staff. Strong communication skills and
familiarity with healthcare documentation systems are essential for
this role. The nurse will work collaboratively with an
interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive patient care.
