Estimated Weekly Salary - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2240 - $2300 Key Job Details – OR RN Travel Contract - Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Location: Potsdam, NY 13676 (Upstate New York healthcare job) - Facility: Community Hospital Operating Room (5 ORs, 5 beds) - Contract Type: Travel Nursing Assignment - Start Date: November 17, 2025 - End Date: February 16, 2026 - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) - Total Hours: 36 hours/week - On-Call: 1:6 rotation, including weekends, weekdays, and holidays - Scrub Color: Grey (provided) - First-Time Travel Nurses: Welcome to apply Qualifications – Operating Room RN - Active New York Registered Nurse license (required at submission) - Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience - Current ACLS certification - EPIC charting experience - Ability to arrive at hospital within 20-30 minutes for on-call shifts (20 minutes preferred for emergent C-sections) - Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed - Experience with a variety of surgical specialties: General Surgery, Urology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Podiatry Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities - Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients - Circulate and/or scrub for diverse surgical procedures: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, joint replacements, cataract extraction, appendectomy, and more - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services) - Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR - Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent surgical cases - Care for patients across the lifespan: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics - Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
