hearing benefits ? SUMMARY Performs diagnostic CT and X-ray exams,
Screening CT exams and interventional CT procedures in accordance
with approved techniques and standards as established by
Radiologists, governing and accrediting bodies. Completes the
necessary documentation for each exam to ensure Radiologist can
provide quality diagnostic interpretation and MH can bill
accordingly. Communicates with Radiologist and department
Leadership on a routine basis to ensure a high level of care and
service for patients and to meet provider needs. Operates CT
scanner, general diagnostic radiographic equipment and ancillary
support systems to perform CT and diagnostic radiographic
procedures per provider orders. This is in accordance with approved
techniques, policies and regulatory standards as established by
regulatory agencies, standards and policies set forth by the
organization. Adheres to the professional standards of the NYS
Department of Health, the American Registry of Radiologic

Massena Hospital is a vital part of our community, offering

environment. We are an acute care facility with 25 beds, providing
a wide range of medical, surgical, and pediatric care. STATUS:
Full-time, Weekends LOCATION: Massena Hospital DEPARTMENT: Imaging
SCHEDULE: 8 hour variable shift, Mon-Fri ATTRIBUTES - Required:
Graduation from an AMA approved program in Radiological Technology
required. - Required: Current New York State licensure or permit to
practice as a Radiological Technologist. - Required: Additional
knowledge of cross sectional anatomy, basic knowledge of computer
science, and the ability to assess appropriate CT Unit functions. -
Preferred: 2 years of radiology experience in a hospital setting. -
Preferred: 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Reads charts, prescriptions and radiology
requests to ascertain the existence of valid physician orders for
diagnostic computerized tomography procedures. - Obtains pertinent
clinical information and follows special physician requests noted
on prescriptions. - Prepares contract media according to
physician's order or departmental policy. - Assures proper patient
identify prior to performing procedure. - Initiates life support
measures for patients as necessary. - Lifts and moves patients with
assistance, immobilizes patients as necessary. - Under the
direction of a radiologist, performs diagnostic computerized
tomography procedures at a technical level. - Identifies disease
abnormalities and physiological processes while performing C.T.
scans with initiative to obtain additional scan, view or other
technical factors as required to provide maximum information for
the Radiologist. - Selects technical factors and imaging modes on
an individual patient basis. - Practices aseptic technique. - Per
physician’s orders, administers or inject intravenous contrast
media which is limited to the placement or insertion of a needle or
catheter, not exceeding three inches in length and not above the
level of the axilla into a person’s upper extremity UNION: CSEA -

roles are union eligible EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds
of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently,
and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

be considered for accommodations. PAY RANGE: $31.80 - $42.99 The
listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current
potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be
modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant
qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and
