Job Description Department/Unit: HBD - Surgery Urology Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $46,220.72 - $64,709.01 LPN Urology Office – Albany, NY Work schedule: Monday – Friday Days Imagine how good it would feel to provide state-of-the-art care to people who really need it. Our Urology outpatient practice is seeking a motivated and energetic LPN to join our dedicated team of healthcare providers! The Division of Urology is one of the busiest practice sites in the Albany Med System. There are currently 12 Physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Practitioners in the Practice. We are located in 3 sites which include Clifton Park, Schenectady and our Main Site in Albany at the Albany Medical Center South Clinical Campus on Hackett Boulevard. The Practice performs several in-office procedures which many staff seem to enjoy as it keeps them moving and always learning and teaching. Under the direction of the attending physician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the following clinical functions to all providers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: • Obtain and accurately record patient’s vital signs • Documents components of patient’s history • Communicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff • Participates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider • Performs diagnostic CLIA waived testing • Prescription call-backs per scope of practice • Preps patient’s chart for pertinent clinical information • Maintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stocked • Adheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issues Minimum Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent is required • Current NYS licensure as Licensed Practical Nurse • Previous experience in a patient care setting preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
