ABOUT
As Sailors, we rely on exceptional medical personnel to keep our
servicemen and women healthy. As a Hospital Corpsman, you fulfill
that critical role by assisting in a wide range of departments
and
procedures, from dispensing vaccines and analyzing lab samples to
aiding in dental operations and assisting in emergency surgeries.
You'll get to try your hand at just about everything while making a
huge difference for the Sailors you serve.
The mission of the Navy Reserve is to provide strategic depth and
deliver operational capabilities to the Navy and Marine Corps team
and Joint forces, in times of peace or war. Navy Reserve Sailors
seamlessly support and actively aid that mission, all while
continuing to lead their own independent lives in the civilian
world.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in
providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. They
may function as clinical or specialty technicians, medical
administrative
personnel and healthcare providers at medical treatment facilities.

EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
Navy Reserve Sailors continue to hold educational opportunities

Academy, as well as certifications and licenses available through
the Navy Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL).
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
General qualifications may vary depending upon whether you're
currently serving, whether you've served before or whether you've
never served before.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be
carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods.
During monthly drilling, Sailors in the Navy Reserve typically work
