Summary:
The Registered Professional Nurse Acute Care is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN assesses, plans, delivers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates nursing care related to patient needs. The RN contributes to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork. Will be accountable to assure that the care provided is consistent with applicable standards, regulations, statutes and state, federal law. Serves as a resource for other staff and clinicians as required. Provides leadership to department staff, serving as a resource and mentor. Contributes to the body of professional nursing practice through participation in research, committee work, and professional organizations, internal and external.
