About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Oneida Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing responsibilities and maintaining the quality of care
• Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds to ensure effective wound management
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure effective communication and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Meet the medical needs of residents and coordinate nursing services
• Provide 24-hour on-call support to ensure continuity of care
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure best practices
• Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff to ensure a skilled and competent workforce
• Oversee daily staffing processes to ensure adequate staffing levels
• Implement infection control measures to prevent the spread of infection
• Be flexible with work schedule to address unpredictable needsRequirements
  • Current State RN license required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings
  • 2 years of management experience preferred
  • 1 year of staff education experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
