please visit our website at . Essential Job Duties: Specific duties
include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Manage the Manufacturing Engineering team to provide robust
fixturing & tooling that ensures high-quality production builds
with the minimal amount of labor & machine time
- Lead the development of a comprehensive database of existing
production tooling & fixturing and implement preventative
maintenance for existing and future equipment
- Lead the development of robust configuration management
practices within the Manufacturing Engineering team in developing &
maintaining BOMs and drawings for existing and future production
tooling & fixturing
- Lead the development and implementation of a robust quotation &
procurement process to provide our Global Service Centers with the
tooling & fixturing necessary for them to service INFICON
product
- Propose via Return On Investment Analyses and then manage the
Manufacturing Engineering team on a constant series of productivity
improvements
- Lead the implementation of first pass yield tracking in each of
our product lines and the development of robust analysis
methodologies for the resulting failure mode data followed by
corrective actions based on the data analysis to continuously
improve the production throughput
- Lead the implementation of statistical process capability on
major production processes to determine where our existing
performance & requirements are not aligned
- Manage the team of ERP Data Specialists to ensure routing, work
center & BOM information reflects reality and to ensure all
Engineering changes are implemented in to production in an
efficient & robust manner
- Lead the team of Manufacturing Engineers to ensure assembly &
test procedure documents clearly convey the necessary information
and support the needs of the production departments
- Work to ensure both internal & external customers are satisfied
with the team's response in dealing with the inevitable
manufacturing engineering issues that arise in a manufacturing
organization
- Work jointly on a near-daily basis with INFICON's Quality
Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering & Manufacturing organizations Behaviors:

organization Education and/or Experience
- Minimal requirement B.S. in an Engineering discipline with 5+
years' experience in an Engineering Management role
- Demonstrated ability/knowledge of objectively determining where
an Engineering group should focus their efforts to improve
productivity in a manufacturing organization
- Demonstrated ability/knowledge of managing a team of Engineers
to ensure they can maintain their focus on the team's highest
priorities
- Demonstrated ability/knowledge of following sound Configuration
Management principles and being able to implement process changes
to situations where robust solutions have not been implemented
previously
- Experience in high cleanliness, tight tolerance, and high mix
