The Manager, Global Social Media is responsible for the strategic creation, planning and management of SHISEIDO Makeup's global social presence. This includes the ideation and execution of global Makeup sustain strategies, in alignment with Global Skincare and Fragrance teams headquartered in Tokyo, as well as the support of local sustain strategies in partnership with regional counterparts. A key tenant of this position is the oversight of all social storytelling on the Global Shiseido Instagram handle, as it relates to Makeup, inclusive of: social calendar management, real-time Story creation, Reels and IGTV implementation, Shop Tag integration, and Live programming. In addition, this role is charged with sourcing, elevating, and programming relevant UGC, artistry tags, influencer mentions and talent activations. The position requires overseeing the creation of social content in collaboration with Shiseido's in-house creative agency, J-Walk, as well as interfacing with global and regional leads for on-going feedback. In addition, this role is tasked with acting as an advisor to Global HQ teams to execute best practices on the handle. All Makeup creative assets are to be managed from conception to deployment globally and workshopped with global cross-team leadership.This position will report into the Director of Global Digital Strategy and Social Engagement for Shiseido Makeup. This role requires an ability to interact across different levels of technical, analytical, creative and business aspects bringing brand building know-how, strategic thinking, creative content capability, strong communication and writing skills, a deep understanding of how to generate insights through data, and measurement strategies. This individual serves as a supporting strategic voice within the organization from a global perspective as well as counsel for Shiseido's international markets.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:* Supports the Director of Global Digital Strategy and Social Engagement with the development and implementation of social media new product launch and sustain strategies / initiatives to drive buzz and generate brand heat* Develops and deploys Shiseido Make-up social media calendars with the goal of building strong engagement and brand buzz for audience* Oversees global social storytelling on Instagram handle in alignment with SGBU with an emphasis on real-time sharing via Stories, daily Posts and Reels* Works closely with other departments on social media sustain programs including marketing, education, media, creative, legal and the Global Shiseido Skincare team to ensure on-strategy cross-messaging* Collaborates with creative counterparts to optimize social content and continue defining the User Generated Content strategy, Influencer and Talent Tag Elevation and Artistry Content Integration* Acts as a community moderator, in alignment with Brand Bastion, for global channels and supports regional teams on recommended feedback* Manages effective benchmarks to measure campaign impact/ROI and generate insights that inform future recommendations and decisions* Contributes creative insights leveraging trends and developments in social media via the creation and distribution of Social Bakers monthly reporting* Follows competitor conversations and evolves ours as needed* Explores new & emerging platforms for future consideration* Monitors social media budget in relation to Sustain Social Shoots for the year (4)* Co-Manages Coordinator, Global Communications, Education and Artistry in alignment with Artistry Team lead

Qualifications & Competencies:* BS/BA required, Communications degree preferred* 5 years experience managing social media for major brand(s) on either client or agency side* 2 years experience managing the production of creative content on either client or agency side* Is an early-adopter who can pick up new tools and concepts quickly* Analytical eye for connecting social media community metrics to business objectives* Ability to work across departments and agencies and collaborate with all stakeholders to deliver a unified brand voice* Deadline driven strategic planner, taking ideas from concept to successful implementation and maintenance* Strong analytical capabilities including use of applications to mine the data and make sound recommendations via monthly reporting* Experience managing and negotiating with external partners* Needs to be a creative problem solver, thrive in fast paced environment, prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
