Position Overview Execute The Fountainhead Group Inc.'s (FGI) Manufacturing Vision to become a low cost manufacturer of high quality products in all markets served by FGI. This will be achieved through best in class manufacturing capabilities which will focus on gaining efficiencies via optimizing product production at multiple plants, optimizing process flow, automation, overhead absorption, continuous improvement and instilling best practices. Tasks and Responsibilities Responsible for manufacturing activities at all FGI locations: New York Mills and Chadwicks, NY, and Vandalia, IL. ---Create and execute a strategic plan to achieve FGI's Manufacturing Vision with measurable metrics for success. ---Achieve cost reductions through automation, process flow, manufacturing efficiencies, etc. ---Focus on lean manufacturing and constraint theory management. ---Drive continuous improvements throughout areas of responsibility. ---Develop sound manufacturing methods for the production of new products. ---Work in concert with the Engineering Department to optimize product manufacturability. ---Act as a technical liaison between sales, engineering and quality control on manufacturing related issues. ---Evaluate and optimize balance between vertical integration and outsourcing molded parts to reduce manufacturing costs. ---Ensure plant facilities, manufacturing equipment and tools, subassembly lines and work cells are maintained and in good working order at all times. ---Minimize inefficiencies and scrap by optimizing machine setup to support the production schedule, ensuring high quality manufacturing materials and by optimizing machine utilization. ---Ensure minimum equipment downtime by instituting a robust preventative maintenance program. Experience ---BME ---7-10 years in consumer packaging manufacturing ---Knowledge of injection, blow molding and metal fabricating operations
